The AAPBA has always been very proud of the fine professional atmosphere present at our shows but we want to stress to all competitors new and old that your representation is even more important to the AAPBA and responsible dog owners nationwide at the taping of AAPBA dog shows. The goal is to show the highest standards and level of competition the AAPBA is known for along with our great focus and mindset of responsible ownership we instill on our members, registrants and show goers. Let’s make the AAPBA and dog lovers proud by putting on a great dog sports show for you, the folks in attendance and for all the television viewers of the AAPBA dog show. When shows are being taped we ask everyone to follow these guidelines: ·Be aware of the camera and microphone ·Practice personal as well as dog safety ·Exhibit mature and professional conduct, which would also include language and good sportsmanship. That what the entire show day was like at the AAPBA dog show on February 2, 2008 at the AAPBA dog show grounds. But despite the weather and temperature dog lovers and dog sports enthusiasts were out with their furry four legged companions for a good time! What a great season opener! AAPBA Does Away With Most Weight Pulled |
The AAPBA has always been the forerunner in competition and changes for the safety and overall well being of dogs. So once again looking for ways to improve on old and outdated traditions and at the same time raise the level of competition. As of February 2008 the AAPBA Weight Pull Event commits to a pound for pound method only. This is not only the truest way to measure dogs for strength but will also raise awareness Most Weight Pull and the effect it has on the ruin of certain dog breeds and the rise of unethical practices and motivations. AAPBA All Breed Dog Show Saturday March 15th 2008 AAPBA Dog Show Grounds Castle Rock, WA Hot Doggin! That's what best describes the competition at the last dog show and guaranteed for the rest of the year! The AAPBA 2008 Dog Show Season is well under way with the month of March supplying a great show of dog sporting fun. Consistently we have had new faces and new competitors joining up at every show and with our new Dogs In Sport TV program we anticipate more competitors joining in on the fun. The Dogs In Sport TV program can be seen on KLTV Channel 11 for Comcast subscribers in the Cowlitz, Lewis, Wahkiakum and Columbia counties. With some showers and lots of sun breaks the overall atmosphere on March 15, 2008 at the AAPBA dog show grounds in Castle Rock, Wa was fantastic with a great show of sportsmanship and a superb output of charged dog energy. This show had one event added to the schedule, the Sled Sprint event. With 3 events scheduled (Extreme Treadmill Sprint had 2 shows) for the day, the start times were delayed slightly but once things got underway the entire show flowed smoothly with nary a hiccup. Lookout next month for the Lure Racing! With a new track with added distance expect the races to be a lot of high octane fun! Also next month the Agility will be back so be prepared for another fun AAPBA dog show season.
